A company is looking for a Fiber Engineer responsible for designing physical fiber paths and managing fiber inventory.Key ResponsibilitiesDesigns routes for fiber-based services and delivers design solutions for fiber path and splicing schematicsResearches existing databases for network design and maintains the fiber plant database for accuracyInterfaces with engineers and stakeholders to validate project specifications and manage inventory effectivelyRequired QualificationsFour-year college degree in Engineering or equivalent Telecom Network Experience3+ years of fiber design experience, including ring configurations and FTT projectsProficiency in MS Office, especially MS Visio and Excel; knowledge of Salesforce.com is a plusExperience with GIS-based platforms and fiber inventory systems, preferably GE SmallworldAbility to produce and interpret detailed KMZ files using Google Earth
