POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Batching Technician is responsible for adhering to correct mixing instructions and specifications. Supplies the production line with the batched product in a timely manner and helps to attain maximum product recovery.

LOCATION: The position is based at DrinkPAK's Texas Beverage Manufacturing Facility in Fort Worth, Texas.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Precisely inspects, stages, weighs, and mixes ingredients according to the product recipes. Collaborates with the Quality Department on the analytical results and makes modifications or adjustments to the batches when needed (i.e., Brix, Acid, pH, color).
  • Pre-weighs blends and liquefies components for beverage preparation.
  • Accurately documents lot numbers, quantities, and expiration dates on formulas per customer regulations.
  • Performs cleaning and sanitation of batching equipment and fillers (CIPs, foaming equipment, and hand brushing).
  • Operates an electric forklift to load sugar, following all safety procedures.
  • Adheres to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
  • Always abide by Drink Pak's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards.
  • Maintains general housekeeping and quality in all warehouse areas, including any additional areas assigned by leadership.
  • Accurately completes hourly inspection sheets based on overall product quality.
  • Assists in other areas as required by leadership.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or Graduate Equivalency Diploma required.
  • 1-3 years prior experience in food/beverage manufacturing, production, or mixing/blending is a plus.
  • Experience in high-speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or canning industries preferred.
  • Ability to visually inspect products and materials.
  • Basic understanding of measuring units and ratios.
  • Basic math skills for measuring and scaling ingredients accurately.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Safety, continuous improvement, and solutions-driven mindset.
  • Technical school training or coursework in chemistry, food science, or manufacturing preferred but not required..
  • Ability to follow written instructions, recipes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety standards (can be trained on the job).
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate batching/mixing equipment, tanks, pumps, and meters.
  • Ability to handle and identify raw ingredients, including flavorings, sweeteners, acids, and concentrates.
  • Comfortable working around chemical handling (with proper PPE and safety training).
  • Ability to complete batch records, logs, and quality checklists clearly and accurately.
  • Basic computer skills (data entry, digital work instructions) a plus.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, or holidays as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and hygiene.
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow safety protocols.
  • Ability to read and communicate in English
