Senior II Technical Program Manager

We align product engineering, and cross-functional teams to exceed the expectations of our customers. As a Senior II Technical Program Manager, you will manage multiple complex projects and guide multidisciplinary teams to successfully deliver against key business goals. You will serve as the voice of the program to Executive Sponsors and key stakeholders. As a Senior II Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and organizing strategic programs at the organization level, across multiple groups working closely with executive sponsors
  • Identifying and mitigating risks from a variety of situations including those that arise from dependencies between groups
  • Driving strategic program core teams and partnering closely with cross-functional teams to support, define, develop, and deploy solutions meeting customer needs
  • Using project management methodologies and best practices to ensure the successful delivery of products, projects, and releases
  • Recognizing when new processes would be beneficial and establishing them
  • Working with tool teams to implement new or updated tools in support of team or business processes

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 8 years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree in program/project management or its equivalent
  • Possess experience working with JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office, SmartSheets and Google products
  • Have experience in identifying and managing project dependencies while maintaining accurate project plans with real-time milestones
  • Have experience with program and project management principles and practices, PMP or Big 4 Consulting experience
  • Possess experience with business process, operations, and metric definition best practices along with organizational and communication skills
  • Possess experience with risk and issue management and resolution

Compensation. Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $108,900 - $226,100/year; a candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
