Day to Day Responsibilities of this Position and Description of Project:
We are seeking a temporary Application Support Analyst to join the Global Payments Operations (GPO) Production Support team. This person will work alongside a globally distributed team across Austin and India, and will support the mission-critical payment applications that power Client buyer-seller financial flows.
This role is ideal for someone with strong application support or operational engineering experience who is comfortable working in complex production environments, interacting with vendors, and ensuring issue resolution aligned with SLA expectations.

Key Responsibilities
Provide L2+ support for live payment platforms and enterprise payment applications in production
Monitor, triage, and resolve incidents using tools like Grafana, Kibana and SQL queries
Perform batch job support, including schedule adjustments for SLAs, maintenance windows, and outages
Use UC4 to maintain and troubleshoot job orchestration workflows
Collaborate with internal partners and vendors (e.g., Adyen, JPMC, PayPal) to resolve processing delays or file issues
Execute and update SOPs, dashboards, and knowledge base content
Support compliance-related workflows (e.g., KYC, SAR, FIU) and ensure event data pipelines are monitored and functional
Participate in post-release smoke testing and steady-state support for new features
Perform validation checks, track error logs, and follow through with corrective actions across functional domains such as:
Seller payouts
Tax reporting (e.g., 1099K, DAC7)
Invoice generation and reconciliations
Disputes and collections
Raise defects or enhancement requests with product teams and document root cause and resolution patterns

Required Skills and Experience
2-4 years of application support or production operations experience (preferably in fintech, banking, or enterprise SaaS)
Strong experience with Unix/Linux, Python or Shell scripting, and querying using SQL / PL-SQL
Experience with one or more orchestration/scheduling tools: UC4, or CTRL-M
Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools like Grafana, Kibana
Exposure to payments, billing, finance, or compliance systems preferred
Ability to coordinate across technical and functional teams to resolve time-sensitive issues

How This Role Supports the Team
This temporary hire will help while the current resources are working on some high level urgent projects and will help in following :
Maintaining 24x7 uptime for payment systems
Reducing backlog of support tasks (SOPs, validations, file monitoring, triage)
Stabilizing operational readiness during product rollouts
Improving cross-region support coverage and follow-the-sun handoffs
Will this candidate interface with IT and business teams? If so, which internal/external groups?
Focused on how Client competitors are performing
Extracting data and analyzing data from data vendors- company specific
This person will work on analyzing growth and producing basic analytics
Should know Tableau - a lot of automation and will need to take over the existing dashboards and building new ones
Working with Client and will also be working within other focus categories within the team
Team is dynamic and works with vendors, there is new players all the time so this person will need to adapt and will need to know how to context switch
