Description:

Our client is a trusted civil contractor delivering complex infrastructure solutions for both private developments and public agencies. Our core focus includes underground utilities (water, sewer, storm drain), large-scale earthmoving, and full-site development. We are currently hiring a Project Engineer with field experience in civil utility installations and mass excavation projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and wants to be part of impactful, ground-up infrastructure work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project management and field teams throughout the lifecycle of civil projects.
  • Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordination of utility installations and excavation activities.
  • Track quantities, costs, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Interpret and apply plans, specifications, and permitting requirements.
  • Maintain daily reports and help ensure project documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and inspectors.
  • Ensure work is being performed in accordance with project schedules, budgets, and safety standards.
  • Support layout, surveying, and production tracking as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in civil construction with a focus on wet utilities (water, sewer, storm) and/or mass excavation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred (experience may substitute for degree).
  • Strong understanding of civil construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction project management tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or similar).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in both field and office settings.
  • OSHA 10/30 certification a plus.
