Otis is seeking a Desktop Specialist, who's ready to help us deliver on our commitments today, plan our strategy for the future, and leave their fingerprints on the organization for years to come. The successful candidate will coordinate day-to-day operational activities to support the Otis Workplace Services Desktop program and work with business partners to leverage technology to solve process inefficiencies.
On a typical day you will:
Support Desktop Engineering efforts
Develop standards, strategies, and best practices
Provide advanced troubleshooting expertise
Respond to escalations on help desk and service-related issues, and work to resolve with help desk partners
Maintain proper design and standards documentation
Manage third-party support partners
Work with internal customers and the core infrastructure team, develop, manage, and execute projects to maintain a technical current environment
Implement process and procedures needed to ensure operational excellence; drive measurable improvements in customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
What you will need to be successful:
A bachelor's degree in computer or information science or a related discipline, or equivalent, relevant experience is preferred
3+ years of progressive experience in desktop engineering
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work independently
Ability to work collaboratively with teams, some of which may be geographically distributed
Take initiative and possess the ability to quickly acquire knowledge
Understanding of basic project management principles
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
ITIL certification preferred
Experience providing technical leadership in a global company preferred
