· Troubleshoot, Diagnose, and Repair Semi-Truck and Trailers to include but not limited to: Commercial Tires, HVAC, Brakes, Steering & Suspension, PM Inspections, Drive Train and Electrical
· Ability to drive a service truck (F-350) to an onsite location where guest is broken down
· Consulting the customer and reading work orders to evaluate the tasks required · Preparing work plans after fully scoping out the issues · Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions · Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering and exhausts · Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines and other associated parts · Conducting field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown · Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance · Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment and brake checks · Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles
Skills / Education / Requirements:
· Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screens and physical
· Previous experience in basic mechanic duties/technician history preferred but not required. WILL TRAIN on any tasks/duties that employee does not have experience.
· Minimum age requirement 21
· Must maintain a valid driver's license at all times
· Pass a background check of SSN verification, DMV report, criminal background and work history
· General understanding of diesel diagnostics
· Any certification in automotive service preferred
