Solution Architect Job Description

Serve as an innovative solution architect to develop and implement systems architecture that will meet business needs. The solution architect's responsibilities include:

1. Gathering requirements and functional specifications.
2. Assessing current software systems to identify areas for improvement.
3. Overseeing development teams.
4. Regularly updating leadership on systems architecture projects and operations.

Enterprise Architecture Responsibilities

Develop high-level frameworks aligning IT infrastructure with business processes to improve efficiency and productivity, including:

• Mapping relationships between information systems components (end-users, processes, applications, data, hardware/software, networks).
• Identifying key interactions and dependencies across systems.
• Evaluating total cost of ownership and return on investment of architecture options.

Level and Responsibilities

A Specialist Professional (P4) is a recognized subject matter expert, typically with:

• Managing large projects or processes with limited oversight.
• Coaching, reviewing, and delegating work to lower-level professionals.
• Handling complex problems.
• Engaging key stakeholders for cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related fields; or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience leading software development automation projects.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience automating continuous delivery pipelines.
