HBHH is currently recruiting for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO), full-time position.

As the CFO, you will have the opportunity to drive change by building collaborative relationships with care professionals and physicians to ensure patient satisfaction. You will be a strategic partner to the CEO, executive team, and human resources, working together to optimize operational efficiency across departments. Responsibilities

  1. Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly financial statements.
  2. Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly, in compliance with policies, and address variances promptly.
  3. Prepare required corporate reports, including the Monthly Operating Report and forecasts, accurately and on time.
  4. Oversee the Revenue Cycle operations to ensure timely collections and minimize uncompensated care, aiming to meet goals for cash collections, AR days, and reducing bad debt and denials. Regularly review revenue cycle metrics to proactively address issues.
  5. Ensure Front End Revenue Cycle processes are in place, including completing insurance verification for all patients, collaborating with Financial Counselors on patient portions, discounts, charity approvals, and logging collections upfront.
  6. Supervise departments such as Accounting, Patient Accounting, Utilization, and Materials Management, along with any other departments assigned by the CEO.
  7. Prepare annual capital budgets and requests, ensuring assets and depreciation are accurately recorded in line with policies.
  8. Provide financial leadership and guidance to facility managers, including training and performance feedback.
  9. Engage with patients regularly through rounds and leadership interactions.
  10. Stay informed about healthcare industry trends and ensure compliance and preparedness.
  11. Collaborate closely with the CEO, maintaining open communication and positive interactions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related business field, with a major in Accounting.
  • 7-10 years of finance experience, with successful CFO/Controller or similar experience in healthcare.
  • Experience in Behavioral Healthcare highly preferred.
  • CPA or MBA is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency with IT systems and software such as Excel and Word.
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills.
  • Ability to lead with emotional intelligence and uphold high ethical standards.
