JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Clinic Operations will provide complete management and oversight for all NTMC clinics. This role includes the development and evaluation of clinic operations in accordance with practice and hospital policy and procedure. Key oversight areas include personnel, Quality Improvement, regulatory standards, quality of care, staff competency and patient safety.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provides administrative supervision to the daily operations and efficiency of clinics.
  • Leads physician recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Serves as liaison to employed physicians.
  • Design and implement business strategies to assist in achieving business goals.
  • Oversee the department's compliance with legal policies, guidelines and standards.
  • Maintains close communication with the clinical staff, providing information relevant to the program's operation, and assists in developing and modifying the program as a whole
  • Represents clinic operations, needs and strategy at a senior management level.
  • Effectively plans and analyzes program to operate within budget.
  • Assists CFO prepare and oversee clinic operating and capital budget and payment reconciliation to include oversight of vendor and site payments.
  • Review and approve clinic invoices against approved budgets.
  • Ensures employed providers are properly credentialed.
  • Oversees clinic employees hiring, training, disciplinary actions and management.
  • Monitors staff performance, facilitates effective teamwork including holding periodic staff meetings.
  • Responsible for on-going performance evaluation, guidance and development of clinic staff
  • Ensures that the quality assurance programs are established and maintained to assure the quality of services provided and to identify gaps in quality as they occur.
  • Ensures that the physical plant and environmental conditions of the practices are appropriate for the services offered and ensures a safe environment in which employees and patients are protected from physical, chemical, and biological hazards.
  • Ensures the clinics meet all applicable regulatory requirements, including but not limited to; state, federal and CMS Conditions of Participation and Rural Health Clinic specific requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring that supplies and other inventory needed to provide patient care is available, appropriate to the task, within acceptable dating and unexpired.
  • Develop relationships with new and existing independent community providers
  • Assist CEO with provider time share lease arrangements
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
BASIC SKILLS
  • Basic computer knowledge.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Bachelor degree in a clinical, business or a related area, and 2 years clinic management experience
  • OR Combination of education and/or work experience that results in equivalent qualifications.
  • Prefer 3-5 years clinic management experience
LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS
  • Excellent professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent skills in problem solving, conflict resolution and crafting compromise agreements.
  • Additional languages a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. May require lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
